Treasures

Mom's Little Teasures
I have a really good friend who calls her children her "little treasures." I adopted the saying too because it is so true! There is nothing more priceless in life than our families. I am so thankful to stay at home at this point in life and enjoy special growing moments with my little treasures!

Hannah is a great big sister!

Halloween is going to be fun this year with two! Hannah cannot wait for her cousins to come and go trick-or-treating with her! She's going to be Jasmin from Aladdin!

Sleepy

Well, I have quickly recalled the arduous, waking nights with a newborn. I know we all do it as mothers and get through it, but man, did I forget how tiring it can be. I have to say that I feel like I am a little bit of a wimp. I have Jay and my mother-in-law around to help out and I still am tired. They both have been wonderful help! (Not to mention the two weeks my mom, dad, and sisters were here to help and let me nap twice a day!) Thanks so much everybody! There is no greater gift, for a new mother, than a nap!

Colby is a good baby and only gets up twice a night. He's generally happy and calm. Thank goodness! :) I dream of the night when I wake up and the clock reads 7:00 instead of 1:00am. Until then, I will push on and think of all the inspirational mothers out there who have done it too! :) Wish me sleep and sweet dreams!

Announcing Colby Jay Jones!

Colby Jay was born on Friday, August 28th at 6:56am! He weighed 7lbs. 3oz. Colby came very fast! I was scheduled to be induced Friday morning at 7am, but ended up delivering him then. I began having contractions Friday morning at 1:30am. We checked into the hospital at 4:45am and two hours later he was here!
Hannah loves Colby and constantly asks, "Where is baby brother Mom? Can I feed him Mom? Can I hold him?" She is a good helper and a fantastic big sister already.

Hannah- not sure how old, but I can't tell if they look alike or not?

Aunt Courtney! She was a huge help with Hannah. She and my Mom came and stayed for a week and a half to help. How nice! Plus, Jay's Mom is here helping too! Lots of hands to help hold, feed, and change baby! (Not to mention, letting Mom sleep- THANKS EVERYONE!)

Our little family! What can I say other than my heart is full with gratitude to my Heavenly Father for my growing family. What a gift it is to bring children into this world. It truly is remarkable. A new life with a sweet, little spirit to teach and enjoy! We are so excited to see Collby's personality emerge and to watch Hannah grow with him!

Baking Time with Mom

Cinna-yummy is all I can say! I love to make mini cinnamon rolls! Maybe it's a little bit nostalgic for me because my dad used to make them while I was growing up. Hannah was a big helper! She loves to help mom stir whenever I bake. Daddy's taste buds approved too!
